- A young man driven to insanity by his corrupt uncle breaks out of a mental hospital, and proceeds to kill his way through in order to save his 9-year-old cousin from her corrupt family and avenge his father's killing.
- A wealthy unmarried woman dies, and since no heirs can be found, her estate will automatically go to her attorney. The attorney's partner, however, would like to get his hands on the old woman's money, so he hatches a scheme with a barmaid and a distant relative of the woman for the barmaid to pose as the dead woman's direct descendant so she'll collect the estate and they can all split the proceeds. However, things don't go exactly as planned.

Royce is actually a stock gambler, and after he goes broke, he forces Dora to give him a sum of money that has been placed in her charge by her employer. Royce loses the money and runs away, but Dora refuses to implicate him in the crime and is sent to prison for a year. After her release, Dora meets and marries Robert, who knows nothing of the affair, but when Royce appears and threatens to blackmail her, she confesses everything. A policeman arrives and shoots Royce, who exonerates Dora just before his death.
- Valentina wants to stop a mob family, run by mob boss Vincenzo.
- Two friends, Linda Mitchell and Rosemary Clayton, are accused of conspiring to shoplift a dress from Hombards Boutique in Fulchester. A store detective claims that Mitchell tried on four dresses in the changing rooms but emerged with only three. Ms Clayton, it is claimed, tried to cause a distraction when Mitchell was challenged about the missing dress by claiming that her purse had been stolen. The store detective claims to have seen the two women put the stolen dress into their car, hidden beneath a raincoat, before Clayton drove away. Mitchell was detained on the pavement outside the boutique. The women deny the charge.
- Kildare puts two women together as roommates in Blair: a highly maternal elderly woman and a young commercial artist diagnosed with a debilitating illness. But the two do not get along well due to their different outlooks. The younger woman does however fall for the older woman's son, which displeases his mother.
- Sammy is in a minor car accident so why does he have major injuries? Mubbs proposes to Rosie, but she wants to think about it as Sammy is pushing her to get back together.
